Data is provided voluntarily by registered dialysis centers. In 2011, the survey obtained responses from 353 out of 645 dialysis centers, and received data on approximately 50,000 patients. The report provides numbers of patients by type of dialysis and payment source, as well as estimated national numbers of patients on dialysis for 2000 to 2011.
