Private health practitioners and facilities are excluded. Reported data are used to calculate the level of outpatient and inpatient morbidity and mortality. The report also shows staffing patterns, access to health services, and non-institutional vital events nationally and by district. Data on non-institutional births and deaths have been included. Service data consist of aggregated outpatient data and patient-based data for inpatient information. A patient diagnosed with two conditions in one visit is counted as two cases. New consultations refer to patients seeking care for the first time, and repeat patients refer to follow-up consultations for the same condition.
