The European Values Study is a longitudinal survey, started in 1981, on how Europeans think about life, family, work, religion, politics and society. The 1981 Belgium survey was part of the first wave of the European Values Study, which took place from 1981-1984.

The data for this survey are available from the GESIS Data Archive for the Social Sciences in Cologne via their online tool, ZACAT, and as part of the World Values Survey.
