Summary

The Bangladesh Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2000 is part of MICS2, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics covered in the MICS are intended to provide data that can be used to assess progress towards mid-decade goals defined at the United Nations 1990 World Summit for Children. The 2000 Bangladesh MICS was designed to provide estimates at the district, divisional and national level. Data was gathered from household interviews of women and men ages 15-49 and caretakers of children under 15.
