The Bangladesh Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 1993 is part of round 1 of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) series, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics covered in the MICS series are intended to provide data that can be used to assess progress toward the mid-decade goals defined at the United Nations 1990 World Summit for Children. For the 1993 Bangladesh MICS, data was gathered from household interviews of women of reproductive age and caretakers of children on child and maternal health.
