The Bangladesh Maternal Mortality and Health Care Survey (BMMS) 2016 investigated causes of maternal deaths as well as antenatal, postnatal, and obstetric care and health care utilization from 2011-2016. The survey targeted ever-married women ages 13 to 49 in 298,284 households (with a household response rate of 99 percent). A previous BMMS survey was carried out in 2010.
