Summary 

The Bangladesh Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) contains statistics on population, poverty, education, health, household size, income, and expenditures. This survey was administered in 10,080 households (6,400 rural and 3,680 urban) in 2005. A report for this survey is available and it references statistics from the 1995 and 2000 surveys. The first round of HIES in this country occurred in 1973.
