The tables are broken down by sex and 5 year age groups and cancers are coded in ICD-9. The report highlights cervical cancer data from 1978-1997 and provides twenty-year incidence trend analysis for the same period for lung cancer, cutaneous malignant melanoma, prostate and breast cancer, colon cancer, Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, cervical and uterine cancer, oesaphageal cancer, and gastric cancer.

Incidence of non-melanocytic skin cancer is not recorded but mortality numbers are provided.

Additional cancer data can be requested from the Tasmanian Cancer Registry.
