Summary

The 2005 report on cancer statistics from the New South Wales Central Cancer Registry provides population-based incidence, mortality, and prevalence data. Survival data for select cancers are also provided. Data in the tables are broken down by age and sex, and the cancers are coded in ICD-10. For each cancer, 2005 data are provided on new cancer cases and percentage; age-specific incidence rates; age-standardized cancer incidence, crude, and cumulative incidence rates; cancer death numbers and percentage; age specific mortality rates; and age standardized mortality, crude, and cumulative mortality rates. Aside from data for 2005, the report provides historical data going back to 1972.

The report contains the standard cancer notification form.
