Summary

The 2003 report on cancer statistics from the New South Wales Central Cancer Registry provides population-based incidence and mortality data. Survival rates for select cancers are also provided. Data in the tables are broken down by age and sex, and the cancers are coded in ICD-10. For each cancer, 2003 data are provided on number and percentage of new cancer cases; age-specific incidence rates; age-standardized cancer incidence, crude, and cumulative incidence rates; cancer death numbers and percentage; age specific mortality rates; and age standardized mortality, crude, and cumulative mortality rates. Aside from data for 2003 the report also provides historical data going back to 1972 and projections for new cases up to 2011.

The report contains the standard cancer reporting form.
