Summary 

The purpose of the Australia National Drug Strategy Household Survey is to collect data on the use of legal and illegal drugs in the country, and to provide information for future government programs on steps to reduce harm from drug use and misuse. The 2016 survey collected completed questionnaires from 23,772 individuals ages 14 and older from either a paper form, online questionnaire, or telephone interview.

Data were collected on the use and effects of tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceutical drugs, and illegal drugs.
