Summary 

This paper analyzes and validates methods of measuring health spending that are compatible with Argentina's System of National Health Accounts (NHA). It presents the first historical series of Argentina health expenditures (1995-1999) based on a single methodology. Health expenditures are broken down by province, financial source, and agent. Comparisons are made to expenditures in other Latin American countries.
