The thematic coverage of the survey is similar to the continuous Permanent Household Survey. The Urban Household Survey includes urban areas of 2,000 or more inhabitants. In this first year of the survey, the sample includes 45,250 households. In 2010, this survey was completed for all provinces except Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur and the city of Buenos Aires. In parts of the country, the questionnaires and survey method were harmonized to existing surveys; the Quarterly Survey of Provincial Households (EPTHO) in Chaco province and the Survey of Provincial Households in Neuquén Province (EPHN).
