Oman Global AIDS Response Progress Report 2014
Nav
- Epi surveillance
United Nation member states adopting the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS (as well as the 2011 Declaration, which contains updated goals) commit themselves to submitting progress reports to the UNAIDS Secretariat every two years that detail their response to HIV/AIDS in their countries. Taken together, the submissions provide the foundation for the UN Secretary-General's report to the General Assembly on the global HIV/AIDS epidemic. Each country progress report contains a section on the status of the epidemic in that country for the two-year period, with figures on topics such as the number of HIV tests that have been received, the number of new cases reported, and the number of AIDS-related deaths.

The Oman World Health Survey 2007-2008 collected socioeconomic, demographic, and health data, particularly related to wellbeing, health care utilization, and risk factors for various diseases. Additionally, the survey collected data about attitudes and practices around reproductive health, congenital anomalies, and genetic disorders in Oman.
