Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research

The Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research is a non-profit research institution focused on clinical and biomedical research. The Institute was founded in 1961 at the bequest of Mario Negri. There are three branches in Bergamo, Ranica, and Santa Maria Imbaro. The Institute primarily researches the areas of cardiovascular, psychiatric and neurological diseases, and tumors. More recent areas of research involve environmental health, kidney diseases, rare diseases, and organ transplantation.
