Summary

This annual report contains data compiled from the Ministry of Health and is available on the ministry's website. The four chapters include: health and demographic indicators, health resources, health services, and services for pilgrims during the Hajj season.

The health indicators published include immunization coverage rates, mortality rates, and incidence for noncommunicable and infectious diseases with an emphasis on endemic diseases such as malaria, leishmaniasis and schistosomiasis. Reported cases of notifiable diseases are listed by region, nationality, sex, and age group for 2010. For the years 2008 through 2010, the report lists mortality trends by ICD-10 major disease groups and live births and stillbirths at Ministry of Health hospitals.

Tabulations provide numbers for visits to health centers such as diabetes clinics and mental health facilities by condition, nationality, and sex. Outpatient visits are published by region for the years 2006 through 2010.
