Summary

One of the MICS 4 surveys, the Afghanistan 2010-2011 MICS is a nationally representative survey covering topics such as childhood illness, child care, and reproductive health. From the original sample of 13,468 households, interviews were successfully completed for 13,314 households, 21,290 women ages 15-49 and 14,872 children under-5. The survey is not self-weighting. Due to insecurity during the data collection period, 67 enumeration areas were not included. The survey included blood tests for anemia and anthropometry for both women and children.
