Summary 

The Jordan Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) 2023, also known as the Jordan Population and Family Health Survey (JPFHS) 2023, is part of phase  of the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) series, a nationally representative household survey series. DHS provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to health, education and mortality. Topics commonly covered in DHS include: child and maternal health, family planning, nutrition, health behaviors, health care access, health care use, and immunization. For the 2023 Jordan DHS, 12,595 women ages 15-49 and 5,873 men ages 15-59 were successfully interviewed from 19,475 households. Results are representative at the following levels: country, urban/rural, administrative level 1 governorates, and 3 national groups (Jordanian, Syrian, and varied nationality).
