Summary 

This report provides incidence and mortality tables for new cases, deaths, as well as crude, cumulative, and age standardized rates based on 1995 data from the Tasmanian Cancer Registry. The tables are broken down by sex and 5 year age groups and cancers are coded in ICD-9. The report also highlights cutaneous malignant melanoma data from 1978-1996 and provides regional distributions of cancers.

Incidence of non-melanocytic skin cancer is not recorded but mortality numbers are provided.
