Summary

The Nepal Demographic and Health Survey 2022 is part of phase 8 of the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) series, a nationally representative household survey series. Topics commonly covered in DHS include child and maternal health, family planning, nutrition, health behaviors, health care access, health care use, and immunization. For the 2022 survey, 13,786 households were successfully interviewed. Of those households, 14,845 women ages 15-49 completed individual interviews. In the subsample of households selected for the men's survey, 4,913 men ages 15-49 were successfully interviewed. Biomarker data were collected in half of the households that were not selected for the men's survey. Anthropometric measures were taken of eligible women ages 15049 and children ages 0-59 months in these households. Blood pressure measurements and anthropometric measures were taken for adults ages 15 and above in half of the households selected for biomarkers.
