Summary 

Conducted five years after the first Vietnam Living Standards Survey, the second VLSS was intended to provide current data on households for use in living standards measurement, policy design, and policy and program evaluation. It used 5 questionnaires: household, commune, price, school, and clinic. The survey covered topics including housing characteristics, health, education, employment, migration, fertility, agriculture, food expenses, and non-food expenditures.
