Summary 

Behavioral surveillance surveys (BSS) are cross-sectional surveys that provide information on the HIV/AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of vulnerable sub-populations. The 2000 Cambodia BSS specifically focused on the sexual behavior of men having sex with men (MSM) in Phnom Penh.

A questionnaire was administered as well as blood tests and urethra and anal swabs to test for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and gonorrhea.
