Summary 

This annual abstract covers a variety of topics: population, household, health, education, school enrollment, employment, agriculture, transportation and communications, etc. The data are derived from administrative records, surveys, and censuses. The time covered varies among topics, depending on the source. Much of information in the 2008 report is repeated in the 2009 report.

The report includes total deaths and cases for notifiable diseases from 2003-2007 as reported by the Ministry of Health. Private health expenditure data comes from the NLSS.

The report is publicly available on the official Web site of the National Bureau of Statistics of Nigeria.
