Summary 

The 2014-2015 South Africa Living Conditions Survey investigated household expenditures and consumption, poverty levels, and socioeconomic patterns on the national level. A total of 27,527 households and worker hostels were canvassed. The study utilized a combination of diary and recall methods as well as questionnaires to collect data. Participating households and individuals were asked to record daily acquisitions for one month.
