The Ghana Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2016 is part of phase 7 of the Demographic and Health Survey series. Malaria Indicator Surveys are designed to provide information on malaria prevalence, use and ownership of insecticide-treated bednets, treatment of malaria, and prevention knowledge and practices. For the 2016 Ghana MIS, 5,150 women ages 15-49 from 5,841 households were successfully interviewed. Blood smear parasitemia and finger prick blood tests were conducted for the presence of anemia and malaria in children ages 6-59 months.
