Each year the International Road Federation (IRF) releases a report containing data from the previous five years on road networks, transportation, and road accident statistics from over 180 industrialized countries. The IRF obtains data from a range of country-specific sources, including national statistics offices, government ministries, and road Authorities, to create international datasets.

In addition to annual publications, the IRF released a compilation of historic data containing data from 1963-1999.
