Summary 

The Burkina Faso Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2014 provides information on the knowledge and practice of malaria prevention in Burkina Faso, and is part of phase 7 of the Demographic and Health Survey series (DHS). The 2014 Burkina Faso MIS is representative at the national and urban-rural levels, as well as for the 13 regions of the country. For the survey, 7,600 women ages 15-49 from 6,500 households were successfully interviewed. Additionally, the presence of anemia, and malaria in children under 5 was assessed through blood smear and finger prick blood tests.
