Geography
The Isle of Man is not, and never has been, part of the United Kingdom, nor is it part of the European Union. It is not represented at Westminster or in Brussels.
The Island is a self-governing British Crown Dependency - as are Jersey and Guernsey in the Channel Islands - with its own parliament, government and laws. The UK government, on behalf of the Crown, is ultimately responsible for its international relations.
Jersey is self-governing and has it own financial and legal systems and its own courts of law. Jersey is a British Crown Dependency, and is defended and internationally represented by the UK government.
As a Crown Dependency, Guernsey is an independently administered jurisdiction that is neither part of the UK nor an Overseas Territory of the UK. It is a self-governing possession of the Crown.
Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1968.
