Summary 

Part of phase 6 of the DHS series, the 2009-2010 Colombia Demographic and Health Survey was a nationally representative household survey covering a variety of demographic and health topics, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. The sample included 51,447 successfully interviewed households, 53,521 individual women aged 13-49 years, 13,887 aged 50-69 years, and 17,574 adults aged 60 or more years.

The survey included five questionnaires:

  • A household questionniare.
  • An individual questionnaire for women of childbearing age.
  • A questionnaire for women aged 18-69 years covering cervical and breast cancer prevention.
  • A questionnaire for elderly men and women 60 and older.
  • A questionnaire for height and weight for children under five and their mothers.
