This survey captured a variety of demographic information from households in Burkina Faso. Questionnaires were used to gather data on household characteristics, maternal health, migration, and mortality. Results from this demographic survey are available in a report. Some libraries may be able to procure this report through the interlibrary loan system.
The Botswana Multiple Cluster Indicator Survey (MICS) 2000 is part of MICS2, an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics commonly covered in MICS include immunization, education, child and maternal health, family planning and knowledge of HIV/AIDS. MICS also provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly those related to health, education and mortality. For the 2000 Botswana MICS, 6,485 women age 15-49 were successfully interviewed from 6,188 households. Additionally, 2,935 questionnaires for children under five were completed.
Part of MICS3, the 2006 Bosnia and Hervagovina Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey was a national health interview survey focusing on topics related to the situation of women and children. The survey data is representative of both Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as urban and rural areas separately. The sample consisted of 6,000 households in total, 3,000 with children under age five. The survey used three questionnaires:
The purpose of the survey was to provide data on reproductive behavior, child vaccine use, and contraceptive habits in developing maternal and child health policies and programs. A sample size of 5,100 women ages 15 to 49 was used, and 5,069 were successfully interviewed with a structured questionnaire.
