Summary 

In the Young People's Tobacco Use, Knowledge, and Attitudes Survey, adolescents ages 13, 15, and 17 years are surveyed on their use and opinions of smoking and chewing tobacco, with a goal of understanding how parents influence adolescents' use or non-use of tobacco. The 2009 survey included both a mail and online questionnaire sent to 7,440 teenagers, 2,580 per age group. The survey received a total of 4,252 responses.
