Summary

The Central African Republic Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 1996 is part of round 1 of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) series; an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. Topics covered in the MICS are intended to provide data that can be used to assess progress towards mid-decade goals defined at the United Nations 1990 World Summit for Children. For the 1996 Central African Republic MICS, data was gathered from household interviews of 6,782 women ages 16-49. Information was also gathered for children ages 0-15. Men were not included in the survey.
