This bulletin, based on the Sample Registration System (SRS), contains data on: 1) estimated birth, death, natural growth, and infant mortality rates; 2) ninety-five percent confidence limits (lower and upper limits) for birth, death, and infant mortality rates; 3) death and infant mortality rates by sex and residence. Tables provide total annual figures for the country, states/union territories, and rural and urban areas of states/union territories.
