Summary

The 2010 Georgia RHS is a follow-up to two previous RHS conducted in 1999-2000 and 2005. A total of 13,363 households were visited and 6,292 women ages 15 to 44 years were enumerated, resulting in a response rate of 99%.

The sampling for the 2010-2011 RHS was similar to the previous two surveys. A nationally representative probability sample was selected of women regardless of marital status and living in Georgia at the time of the survey. The sample was also selected in a way to allow regional-level and urban-rural estimates for certain indicators.

Topics covered include demographic characteristics, fertility and child mortality, family planning, use of reproductive health services, maternity care service quality, reproductive health care expenditures, smoking and alcohol use, intimate partner violence and HIV/AIDS and other STDs.
