Composed of 56 core questions, the GYTS questionnaire covers topics such as young people’s knowledge and attitudes about smoking, prevalence of tobacco use, the role of advertising and media in tobacco use, and access to cigarettes.

The UNRWA zone covers 13 refugee camps with over 2 million registered refugees living in different governorates of Jordan. For the Jordan UNWRA GYTS, students in grades 7 through 9 were surveyed. A total of 1,668 participated, with an overall response rate of 82.4%.
