Summary 

The first of the Mexican surveys of demographic dynamics, the 1992 survey covered fertility, mortality and migration, in part to assess the vital registration system and in part to deepen the knowledge of certain housing topics covered in the census. More specifically, it included questions on water supply, sanitation, waste disposal, educational attainment and field of study, current and previous marriages, subnational and international migration, birth history, and family planning. Sample size comprised 64,000 homes.
