Summary
The Suriname 2010 MICS was conducted as part of Round 4 of this survey series. Areas covered include nutrition, child health, water and sanitation, reproductive health, child development, education, child protection, sexual behavior, and access to mass media.
The sample included women between the ages of 15 and 49 years and children under the age of 5 years. A total of 7,407 households were interviewed out of a total sample of 9,356. A total of three questionnaires were used: one for households; one for women; and one for children, completed by mothers or caretakers.
Questions relating to malaria and yellow fever vaccine were only asked in Brokopondo and Sipaliwini districts.
