Summary
The 2005 Census of Population and Housing in Malta was conducted by the National Statistics Office, via the delivery and collection of self-administered questionnaires by census enumerators. The questionnaire covered a variety of demographic and socioeconomic topics, including questions on disability, chronic illness, and the participation in sports. An estimated 98.5 percent of all Maltese residents were enumerated in 2005, with a total population of 404,962.
