Belize National AIDS Spending Assessment 2008-2009
General Info
This report contains data on HIV/AIDS-related financing in Belize, the first generated by using the National Aids Spending Assessment (NASA) framework. The NASA method measures financial flows and expenditures on HIV/AIDS through the dimensions of finance, provision, and consumption. Financial information comes from multiple sectors including health, education, labor, and justice, among others.
The report provides contextual analysis of the evolution of HIV/AIDS funding in Belize and globally. The scope, methodology, and limitations of the study are also described. Tables present the amount spent by national and international organizations on attention and treatment, prevention, program management and administration, human resources, social protection and services, and research. Additional tables provide expenditures on various populations, production factors, financing source by category, financing agent, and provider transactions.
