The World Malaria Report 2005 is the first report in the series that outlines the epidemiological situation of malaria in all regions. The report describes trends in funding, transmission, and intervention. Graphs and tables display populations at risk, malaria financing, number of cases, and admissions and deaths for each parasite species. Household surveys and other sources provide data for 107 malaria-endemic countries and territories. Malaria control is reviewed in more detail for 24 endemic countries in the country profile section.
