Summary

Part of the second round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, the 2001 Angola MICS was a nationally representative household survey with a focus on children and women ages 15-49. While the survey covers both urban and rural areas, rural areas were likely under-represented due to security concerns that prevented data collection in areas outside government control. The sample consisted of 6,660 households. The survey covered topics such as demographics, housing conditions, immunization, contraceptive use, child mortality, and health care use.
