Summary
Part of the first round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, the 1996 Angola MICS was a nationally representative household survey that collected information relating to the health of women and children. Estimates are possible for the national level, urban and rural areas separately, as well as six geographically defined regions that include multiple provinces. Interviews were carried out in 4,337 households, collecting data on topics such as demography, education, maternal and infant health, nutrition, water supply, and sanitation.
UNICEF has published some of the reports from MICS1, but the MICS1 microdata have not been made available.
