Summary
The 1976 intercensal survey, also known as SUPAS, was conducted in phases. Phase one covered 257,100 households. Phase two was a subsample of phase one. In this phase 26,325 households were surveyed on subjects of housing, household demographics, education, employment, domestic migration, health, fertility, household deaths, and family planning. The provinces of East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and Irian Jaya were not fully covered by the sample.
