Summary
This survey is a standardized tool developed by EUROSTAT in an effort to meet the need for comparable data from the various European Union countries. The survey was conducted via an interviewer-completed questionnaire, and a self-completed questionnaire. It consists of four modules pertaining to health status, health care, health determinants, and background variables on demography and socioeconomic status. The nationally representative sample consisted of 5,500 individuals aged 15 years and over.
