Summary 

The Tanzania HIV Impact Survey 2022-2023 was a cross-sectional household-based survey conducted in Tanzania. THIS 2022-2023 is part of the PHIA Project, a series of population-based surveys designed to assess the burden of HIV disease and impact of the health sector response to national HIV epidemics. This is the second PHIA survey in Tanzania. There were 17,301 completed household interviews; 35,960 completed individual interviews; and 33,663 completed biomarker tests.
