The 2008 epidemiological report contains data from the clinical surveillance module, laboratory surveillance module (SIVILA), sentinel units, and other special programs that report through the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS). The report provides case numbers and rates for notifiable diseases. Some data in the charts and graphs are broken down by province or by 5-year age groups. Rates from 2007 are provided for comparison between years. Other tables include data for years 2000-2008. Information on national coverage for pentavalent, hepatitis A and B, polio, MMR, measles, and BCG vaccines from the Vaccination Program is also in the report.

The report does not contain the detailed tables often found in annual bulletins, and there is no analysis or additional information on the epidemiological situation.
