Namibia Service Provision Assessment 2009
General Info
The Namibia Service Provision Assessment 2009, also known as the Namibia Health Facility Census (HFC) 2009, was designed to provide information on the availability and quality of health facility infrastructure, resources, and management systems, as well as child health, family planning, maternal health, and specific infectious disease services. A component of the survey was to measure the quality of available HIV/AIDS services. All private and public hospitals, health centers, clinics, voluntary HIV counselling and testing centers, and sick bays in Namibia were included in the survey.
Data was gathered via facility audit questionnaires, health care provider interviews, client exit interviews, and observations of provider-client interactions. The survey included a detailed module on health facility funding sources.
Results of this survey can be used to supplement the results of the 2006-2007 Namibia DHS.
