Summary
This report provides data from the early years of the Dr. Elizabeth Quamina Cancer Registry, the national population-based cancer registry of Trinidad and Tobago. The tables present the number of cases, percent of total cases, age standardized rates, crude rates, and possible years of life lost for each cancer. Data are broken down by health authority, sex, and 5 year age groups. Cancers are coded according to ICD-10.
Sections on the leading cancers in Trinidad and Tobago present data on age-specific incidence and mortality rates, basis of diagnosis, type of tumor, grade and stage of the cancer, and treatment administered.
