Summary

The National Survey on Drug Use and Health 2020 is part of the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) survey series. NSDUH surveys collect information on individuals in the United States ages 12 and over by audio computer assisted self-interview (ACASI), computer assisted personal interview (CAPI), and computer assisted self-interview (CASI). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, data collection stopped in March of 2020 and resumed in October 2020 with the use of web-based data collection. Topics commonly covered in NSDUH include demographics, income, access to and use of health services, behaviors related to alcohol, tobacco, illicit drug use, non-medical use of prescription drugs, mental health symptoms, social influences, and attitudes on substance use.
