The mortality tables for England and Wales in the twentieth century provide data on the number of deaths by sex, age group, ICD code for the underlying cause of death, and the year the death was registered. The files also contain descriptions of the ICD codes. An additional excel spreadsheet lists official population numbers for each year broken down by sex and age groups.
